Carrboro Community Garden Club's Plant Exchange-1:00-5:00pm
Each year during Carrboro Day you have an opportunity to bring a plant from your yard or an indoor plant from your house and exchange it for one of our member's plants. This year we would like to share information about heritage and old timey heirloom plants and seeds. Our club was formed informally in 1986 to bring together people who enjoy gardening, Today, twenty three years later, our group has approximately thirty members, who meet monthly at members' homes to visit our gardens, exchange seeds and plants and enjoy friendship. For the community, we maintain a wild garden along the Frances Lloyd Shetley Bikeway near Carrboro Elementary School, as well as create the natural Wreath and column swags for Carrboro Town Hall each December. Carrboro Day is the third event we enjoy each year.

Bring healthy, indoor or outdoor plants to trade. Please label your plants with the plant name and growing requirements (indoor plant, shade, sun, annual, perennial, etc). Club members will be on hand to share gardening advice, identify plants, provide information on exotic invasive species. And you will be welcome to sign up to join our group if you wish.
